Epilogue

As I reach the end of my Scottish bike tour
it’s been quite an adventure, that’s for sure

The North Coast 500 is really tough
but I can’t recommend it highly enough

There’s a lot to see along this route
even though the hills can be a brute

The Bealach na Bà was the hardest of all
Getting to the summit was a long haul

I enjoyed meeting the others in the group
and sharing stories over lentil soup

We had plenty of laughs along the way
in facing the challenges of each new day

Completing this tour was a real test
Never had I cycled so far with no rest

You can bet I’ll be back to do another one
I can’t stay away, they’re so much fun!

Thanks for joining me on this escapade
Having it recorded means the memories won’t fade

If you have a bike, get out there and ride
The benefits of cycling are far and wide!

  1. Thanks for doing the posts every day… I really enjoyed reading them. Scotland… seems like you saved a fortune on sunscreen. I hope we get to ride together again some time.

  3. Congrats on finishing the tour! It was great that we could follow along, terrific photos. When we were in Inverness we enjoyed checking out Tomatin, a nearby distillery, and the Battle of Culloden centre. Lots to see and do, have fun exploring!

  4. Well done, Lynn!
Can’t wait to hear your stories in person.
Get lots of pictures of your wanderings with your cousins, too!!
